HIDDEN FROM VIEW

Is there an equality around which missing persons cases receive more attention? Is there an imbalance over which cases you hear about?

Statistics from the National Crime Agency suggest that there are more reported disappearances from BAME communities than you might expect from the population. And yet - there are fewer well known cases.

This episode explores this issue. And it asks everyone to pay attention to EVERY missing persons case, regardless of the persons background, skin colour, or lifestyle.

Georgina Gharsallah (top), Elizabeth Ogungbiyibi (middle) and Aamina Khan (bottom) are three missing persons we feature in the episode. If you have any information on any of those cases, or any others, please get in touch.

We also make reference to the missing people website, and the ability to search through the hundreds of live missing persons cases on their books. A link to that search function is here: https://www.missingpeople.org.uk/appeal-search
